The Valentine's Day chalkboard came down, and a traditional Irish blessing in honor of St. Patrick's Day went up.
I first encountered this poem in a wedding card, and although I am not typically poetically inclined, I haven't forgotten it. Here is the full text:
"May the road rise up to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields,
and until we meet again may God hold you in the palm of His hand."

I can't help but notice that this blessing - invoking sunshine, gentle rain, and good quality unmuddy roads - is a blessing that can only be fufilled by LEAVING Ireland.
Aaron, when are you going to start writing a blog? You are a funny man. By the way, Dana. Nice blog.
