Watering Flowers

I FINALLY had time to go to the green house and get a few annuals and tomato plants. Oh, I could spend a lot of time and money in that place!
I have two large red pots (previously seen here), so each kid got to take responsibility for one. Watering is the best part, obviously.

Thank you Martha Stewart (I think) for the lessons in flower pot filling: Thriller (Coleus), Filler (Dusty Miller), and Spiller (Sweet Potato Vine) all present and accounted for.

Haha, cute names. Martha Stewart called them that?

By the way, chipmunks LOVE sweet potato vines.

Who knew! And here I've just been plopping the same kind of flowers in each of my pots. Martha would be so disappointed in me.

Agh! Martha! You frustrate me. Now I have to think harder at the greenhouse where I usually just grab and over purchase and then get cranky about my pots not looking professional. =/ ...wait, I was already cranky about my pots, the only new thing is the added thinking of remembering what filler to plant in the midder. ;)

@Mom - according to Martha, every pot should have 3 types of plants:
1: tall, impressive "thriller"
2: midsized plant to fill in the middle, the "filler"
3: a trailing plant - the "spiller".
